As we approached the summer of 2020 I created a radio feature and multimedia article examining the impact the first lockdown had on independent cinemas. I talked to several cinemas, the UKCA, and the Welsh Government, as the focus was largely on Welsh cinemas. It is an issue which continues to plague the industry, as many smaller cinemas are still impacted by the restrictions placed upon them during the pandemic.
